Yazaki Romania opens EUR 4 mln factory in Caracal

Yazaki Romania has opened a new factory in Craiova that will supply cabling systems for the auto industry. The new unit will be the main supplier for the Ford factory in Craiova, but will also produce for external units of the American manufacturer.

“The extension of the production operations through the opening of the new factory in Caracal will allow us to continue the strategic partnership with Ford. Also, we will add more jobs to the 5000 existing ones”, stated Jorge Damasceno, General Director of Yazaki Romania. The presence of Ford and Renault auto makers will make Romania more attractive for investors of related industries, added Damasceno.

Yazaki has been present in Romania since 2003, after opening the first factory in Ploiesti. The company invested EUR 89 million since then, creating over 5000 jobs.
