The beginning of November comes with new cultural events. Here are some of our recommendations.

There will be evenings of theatre, music and film dedicated to Caragiale, during the festival “Bucurestii lui Caragiale” at the Comedy Theatre,  Studio Amena and Teatrul Mic, Bulandra Theatre, Metropolis Theatre and State Jewish Theatre.  The entrance is free. On Friday, starting 19:00 the film „A stormy night” will roll, as well as the film „Two lots”. On Saturday at the Metropolis Theatre will take place the play „A lost letter”, while on Sunday the play “From Caragiale to Salom Alehem” will take place at the State Jewish Theatre.

Also, the National Festival of Independent Theatre will end this weekend. The program gathers productions from Bucharest, Sibiu, Cluj, Oradea and Timisoara, which can be seen at Godot Cafe as well as in the partner spaces from Teatrul Luni from Green Hours, Unteatru, Art Theatre Bucharest, Club La Scena, Teatrul Arte dell’ Anima, Cultural Centre for U.N.E.S.C.O “Nicolae Bălcescu”, Lipscani Theatre, Coquette Theatre and the Bookstore Carturesti Carusel.

This weekend brings the French Film Festival also. This edition has a special theme, the music. Organized by the France Embassy in Romania and the French Institute from Romania and is formed of four distinct sections: young French directors Competition, The Cahiers Week du Cinema, The French films panorama as well as the retrospective of the director Lucile Hadzihalilovic. During the competition, six films of debut are presented, made by young French directors and the best one will receive the “Public award TV5MONDE/RFI Romania.”
