Next year will bring some important changes in the telecommunications industry. Telecom authority ANCOM published  the proposals for its action plan in 2013 for public consultations. These include:

  •  The infrastructure law- in the last quarter of 2012, the bill regarding the status of infrastructure of the telecom networks was adopted, aimed to set up transparent and non-discriminatory procedures for signing contracts for access on public property. It also regulates the access to the telecom infrastructure, including shared usage of networks. The Authority will canvass public networks to create a data base that will include conditions for access and contracts regarding access on the state public property.
  • Deliver calculations models for termination tariffs
  • Completing the implementation of the online application which enables users to compare telecom offers, financed from European funds
  • Finalizing the online application which makes it possible to measure technical quality parameters of access to internet services
  • Preventing incidents affecting the security of the networks, ANCOM will complete a project which sets the minimum security measures that must be taken by suppliers of networks and services
