Vola.ro travel agency opens branch in Ukraine

Romanian online travel agency Vola.ro has entered the Ukrainian market with the Avio.ua portal. The company is also present in Poland with Fru.pl. The sites offer travel services such as airline and low-cost tickets, hotel reservations, holiday packages, medical travel insurances and rent a car services.

“This year we are celebrating 5 years of presence and continuous growth on our key markets in Romania and Poland through our regional expansion. Ukraine is an important market, having a significant potential of growth in the travel sector. The launch of Avio.ua represents also a manner of probing the opportunity to expand in the future on the largest market in the region –Russia”, declared Daniel Truica, managing partner at Vola.ro

The online travel agency was set up in 2007 and last year it reported a turnover of about EUR 15 million. “Migration of the market from offline to web of more frequent and shorter holidays were decisive factors in the massive growth of the Vola.ro business,” said company representatives.
