UPDATE: Samsung Galaxy S III arrives to Romania

Starting with May 7, customers of Orange Romania can order the Samsung Galaxy S III solely on the company’s online store.

On May 30, the handset will also be available in the operator’s stores.

The smartphone can be acquired in both the white and blue version at prices that start from EUR 299 (VAT included), which comes with Pantera 21 post pay offer and My Smartphone 15 option for 2 years.

South-Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy S III, which it sees as a main competitor for Apple’s future iPhone 5.

The new Samsung handset runs on Android 4.0 and comes with HD Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It has a quad-core processor of 1.4 Ghz and 1 GB of RAM.

The phone is 8.6 mm thick and weighs 133 grams. It comes in two colors, white and blue.

The photo camera has a resolution of 8 MP and can take multi-shot pictures while the video camera films full HD.

The smartphone is available in the 16GB, 32 GB and 64 GB versions. It will be available in the 3G+ version with speeds up to 21 Mbps, but there will also be a 4G LTE version for markets where this technology is already into place.

The Samsung Galaxy S III will be available in Europe starting March 29.
