Six Romanian companies in the Technology Fast 500 EMEA – Deloitte

Romania’s technology industry has marked yet another performance, with six local companies ranked in the Deloitte Technology FAST 500 EMEA 2010: TeamNet International (31st), AROBS Transilvania Software (212nd), CRYS Computers (283rd), Fortech (285th), LASTING Software (334th) and The Red Point (352nd).

This annual ranking includes the fastest growing public and private technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies from 24 countries in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). The top is based on companies’ five-year revenue growth.

Romania had seven companies nominated for this competition, with the first six qualifying due to growth rates reported for the 2005 – 2009 period: TeamNet International (Bucharest, +3,120 percent), AROBS Transilvania Software (Cluj-Napoca, +831 percent), CRYS Computers (Bucure ti, +635 percent) Fortech (Cluj-Napoca, +629 percent), LASTING Software (Timisoara, +541 percent), The RED Point (Iasi, +510 percent).

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is the industry-ranking standard to focus on the technology sector. Entrants to the ranking must have been in business at least five years and have had base-year operating revenues of at least EUR 50,000 and current year operating revenues of at least EUR 800,000.
