Romanian state re-enters Rompetrol Rafinare shareholding

The Romanian state has re-entered the shareholding of Rompetrol Rafinare RRC with a 44.69 stake following the conversion in shares of bonds that the company didn’t buy back by the deadline set yesterday.  The state now owns 20.652.098 bonds in Rompetrol Rafinare. KazMuniaGaz, which owns RRC was suppoused to either pay EUR 571 million to the Finance Ministry by yesterday or convert the debt into shares. The company paid EUR 54 million and converted the rest of the sum into shares that the state now owns.
