Upon taking office as new minister of communications, Razvan Mustea (in picture) said one of the main targets of his ministry will be the privatisation of the Romanian Post, to be achieved by the end of June, this being one of the commitments Romania assumed in front of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Another priority stated by Mustea refers to “taking broadband internet to every household in the rural areas that do not have internet access.” “This is part of the RO-NET project with EU funds of over EUR 80 million, which stipulates that by the end of 2015 we will cover over 3,650 localities in the so-called white areas,” said the minister.
The new Ministry of Communications will also continue the development of the Ghiseul.ro, which will allow contributors to pay their taxes online by card without having to queue.
