Regis Lhomme is the new president of ARPIM

Regis Lhomme, country manager of Amgen Romania, has been elected as the new president of the Romanian Association of International Medicine Manufacturers (ARPIM). He is replacing Franz Zinsberger, country manager of Boehringer Ingelheim.

Lhomme has been running Amgen since October 2009, when it was launched in Romania. He has 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, mostly in Central and Eastern Europe. Lhomme has worked for several pharmaceutical companies over the years. Between 2000 – 2009 he coordinated the activity of Pfizer in Romania and in Russia and previous to this, he supervised the opening of the Romanian subsidiary Smith Kline Beecham. He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry at Merck Sharp & Dohme France, where he worked in the research and development department for 8 years.

The new president also has experience in collaborating with the healthcare authorities as he has been present on the Romanian market since 1995. He was a member of several ARPIM boards of management in the past, ARPIM president in 2010 and also LAWG Russia president before returning to Romania.

This is why we promote transparency, dialogue and predictability as foundations for a partnership that will sustain the pharmaceutical market.” stated Regis Lhomme, ARPIM’s new president.

During the elections on the 29th of September, Efthymios Papataxiarchis, country manager Johnson&Johnson took over the position of vice-president ARPIM and Mihai Briciu, country manager Novo Nordisk and Luca Visini, country manager Eli Lilly, became members of board.

The other board members are: Radu Rasinar, vice-president – country manager AstraZeneca, Luana Ionaccu, member – country manager Ipsen, Pascal Prigent, member – country manager GlaxoSmithKline.
