Rare wine auction in Bucharest cashes in EUR 147,570

The first rare wine auction in Bucharest organized by Artmark and Le Manoir and featuring French, Italian and Romanian varieties, has generated total sales of  EUR 147,570 , the auction house has announced.

A Bordeaux vertical consisting of 288 bottles of wine – the oldest was bottled in 2001 – was the star of the auction going under the hammer at EUR 68,500.

The second position was taken by a 12 bottle case of Château Petrus 1979 which sold for EUR 20,275. The auction featured 45 lots out of which 41 were sold.

This is the second wine auction organized by Artmark after a similar event took place in February.
