Poiana Brasov welcomes a new ski slope

Poiana Brasov welcomes a new ski slope this week, in a thrilling development that promises excitement for winter sports aficionados, especially for the experienced ones, as announced by Brasov.net publication.

Thanks to the cold temperatures that have allowed the artificial snowmaking facilities to operate, the ski resort administrators have successfully prepared the Ruia slope, which will be open from today. Ruia represents a great alternative in the upper part of the massif to the Lupului slope, considering its level of difficulty as a black diamond slope, as well as its width.

“We can already say that we have a tradition this season, with every ‘Wednesday of the Brasovians’ bringing good news for winter sports enthusiasts. So today, we manage to open a new slope, Ruia. It is one of the favorite slopes for experienced skiers, with its very generous width that allows you to fully enjoy a black diamond slope. We hope that the weather conditions, with dropping temperatures, will help us complete the preparation of the Subteleferic slope as well. Today will be a wonderful day for skiing, with sunshine, so we invite you, dear residents of Brasov and tourists, to enjoy the most beautiful ski area in Romania,” stated Mayor Allen Coliban.

Starting today, skiing is available on the Ruia, Drumul Roșu (in its entirety), Sulinar (in its entirety), Lupului (upper part), Subteleferic (from the canal exit), Lupului inferior, Kanzel, and Doamnei slopes. The slopes for beginners, Bradul and Stadion, are also open for skiing.
