Metropolitan Life’s gross subscribed premiums up by 6.3 pct in H1

Metropolitan Life announces a gross subscribed premiums growth of 6.3 percent in the first semester of the year, compared with the same period of 2016.

The biggest growth was registered in the accident and healthcare insurances, directly distributed, followed by the growth in insurances affiliated to the consumer loans.

In the first semester of the year, Metropolitan Life registered gross subscribed premiums of RON 133.6 million.

“The growth registered in the first six months of the year represent an indicator of the slow, but clear growth of the Romanians’ trust in life insurances. We are talking about a market not mature enough, but has a high growth potential,” says Emilia Bunea, CEO Metropolitan Life.

The gross premiums paid by clients of Metropolitan Life in the first semester of this year amounted to RON 49. 39 million.

“We monitor constantly the clients’ satisfaction on the process of damages offers and in general, on Metropolitan Life services,” adds Bunea.

Currently, Metropolitan Life team has in Romania 170 employees and 500 agents.

Metropolitan Life is part of MetLife, Inc., one of the biggest company of life insurances worldwide.
