Mega Image reaches 596 stores after opening 11 stores at the end of December 2017. On December 30, Mega Image launched 5 new supermarkets. In December, Mega Image opened overall 21 new locations in Bucharest, Brasov, Giurgiu and Targoviste.

“2017 was a good year, with many challenges that helped us to develop and fulfill our objectives. A first success of 2017 was entering the retail market in Cluj Napoca. Also in 2017 we consolidated the position in Bucharest by increasing the number of Mega Image and Shop&Go locations, we launched our own e-commerce platform www.mega-image.ro. Thus we closed the year strongly, through an expansion growth,” said Vassilis Stavrou, general director Mega Image.

Also in December Mega Image launched a new concept Shop&Go – Mega Apetit, based on Ready Meals, located within Plaza Mall.

The new format is made for food court and offices and the products will be mainly from Mega Apetit range and addresses to the active people who don’t have much time for meals preparation.
