Linkin Park, one step closer to Romania

American band Linkin Park, a hybrid rock, hip hop, electronic music band from California that has spawned hits such as Numb, One Step Closer, The Catalyst, New Divide will be performing for the first time in Romania on June 6 at Romexpo, in Bucharest. The show has already been announced by the band on their official website.

“Linkin Park are not just playing for the first time in Romania, but also in the Balkans, which makes us believe we will have numerous fans from neighboring countries,” according to Sorina Burlacu, general manager of promoter Events.

Linkin Park- which comprises Mike Shinoda, Chester Bennington, Brad Delson, Phoenix, Joe Hahn, Rob Bourdon- have a hybrid changing sound that incorporates various styles, whose first album Hybrid Theory sold in 10 million copies and went platinum in various countries while their previous album A Thousand Suns went straight to 1st place in the Billboard Top 200 Chart.

The six-piece is currently working on a new studio album called Living Things that will be launched this summer on June 26 and which will see a return to their initial sound. ”It will be a lot more familiar to people than A Thousand Suns, said vocalist Chester Bennington. Burn It Down, the first single off the album, has already been launched.

In 2005,  Linkin Park set the basis of Music for Relief, a charity that collected over EUR 5 million for the victims of natural disasters. A sum of RON 2.2 from every ticket sold for the concert in Romania will go to Music for Relief.

Tickets will be out for sale on April 13 and can be purchased online at www.eventim.ro or in the Eventim network which comprises Germanos, Vodafone, Orange, Domo stores, Humanitas and Carturesti book stores.

Ticket prices will be RON 130 (lawn B), RON 200 (lawn A), RON 270 (Golden Ring) and RON 360 (VIP Tribune). Until April 26, tickets for lawn A can be purchased at the price of RON 180.
