Key move. Sercin Giray is the new CFO of Bayer Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova

Bayer Romania announces a new strategic appointment, naming Sercin Giray as the new chief financial officer (CFO) for company’s operations in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova as of September 1. She takes over attributions from Andreas Schremmer, who also served as CFO during his former SBR mandate.

Giray started her career with Bayer back in 1999 in Accounting and Finance, in her homeland, Turkey. In 2008 she became head of Group Reporting for Bayer Turkey and after 2 successful years in the role she continued her professional development in Bayer AG, Leverkusen, Corporate Finance – Financial Country Coordination for Region Europe. In 2013 she came back to Turkey and has been leading the Accounting team since 2014.

„Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova are important markets on Bayer’s business map and I’m extremely excited to have this opportunity and delighted to be a part of such a strong and capable leadership team. I’m confident that, together with the local teams, we will achieve the best outcomes possible,“ said Giray at her appointment.

Giray holds a degree in Business Administration in German – Controlling, from Marmara University – Istanbul, Turkey.
