Grawe reaps EUR 1.8 mln net profit

Insurance company Grawe Romania posted a EUR 1.8 million net profit at the end of 2009 and EUR 60.8 million of total assets, an increase of 16.6 percent on 2008. The firm saw a fall of 14 percent in its incomes from written premiums compared with 2008.

According to the insurer’s representatives, Grawe continued its development strategy during 2009, opening up 17 working points. Its total number of agencies was 55 at the end of last year.

Officials also expect to increase the company’s level of new contracts, as a result of the improvement in the economic outlook.

As for life insurance, the company expects a rise of about 5 percent in 2010 on last year.
