The Finance Ministry sold 5-year bonds worth EUR 500 million at a growing average annual yield of 2.65 percent, with maturity on March 8, 2022, according to the data published on Thursday by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
The eight attending banks from the tender offered RON 597.35 million, almost 40 percent more than the amount asked by the state.
The issued bonds have a coupon rate of 3.4 percent. The maximum yield offered by the state was 2.67 percent and the average yield was 2.65 percent/year, according to the BNR data.
The Finance Ministry aims to borrow RON 3.1 billion from the internal market in August, to which additional tenders of RON 345 million might be added.
