Enel Green Power has added 40 MW to its local wind power network with the Salbatica I wind park, which has a total capacity of 70 MW. The initial capacity of 30 MW was connected to the network last December.

The Salbatica park was built near Tulcea, and includes 35 turbines, with a 2 MW capacity each.

The annual estimated production of the entire park is of approximately 200 million KWh, which is enough to cover the electricity needs of 66,000 households.

Salbatica is the second wind park of Enel Green Power, besides the Agighio project, which is in operation since last year.

The two parks have a total installed capacity of 104 MW, and will generate over 290 million KWh per year.
