Dan Oprescu, 45, will be the new marketing director of Unilever South Central Europe starting next month. He is replacing Fulvio Guarneri who was promoted to brand building home and personal care VP for al Unilever Russia, Ukraine and Belarus (RUB).
Oprescu has over 17 years of professional experience in consumer goods having worked in various countries in the region. He began his career in 1993 with The Nielsen Company and in 1998 he joined Unilever. Between 2000 and 2002 he worked for Unilver in Prague and has later joined Japan Tobacco Intl Romania as portfolio, brand and trade strategy director. In 2005 he also joined the company’s board of directors. In the past three years, Oprescu has led the consumer, marketing and R&D division of Hochland Romania and Poland.
His education includes graduating the London Business School in 1999 and also attending MCE, IMD International Switzerland and INSEAD.
