CFR Calatori posted a profit of RON 64 million after the first 7 months of this year, according to company data released on Monday.
In in the first semester, CFR Calatori registered a turnover of RON 931.8 million, a growth by 14 percent compared with the same period of 2016. The revenues increased by 16 percent to RON 499 million in the first semester of this year.
The number of travelers/km reached 2.25 billion, from 2.03 billion at the end of June 2016.
According to the general director of CFR Calatori, Iosif Szentes, the missed targets of the company during the first six months are due to the delay of approximately 5 months of the received grant.
Szentes added that the billing of facilities and discounts for the railway companies and pensioners are made quarterly, but for the last semester the bill was made in July “and this is how we gained profit”.
