Travelers from all over the country who want to buy train tickets from CFR Călători now have a new easy and fast alternative to pay for their journeys: the 24pay app.

24pay and CFR Călători announce a partnership that will expand the range of payments available on the 24pay app for public transport, making it easier for users from all over the country to travel by train.

24pay users can purchase tickets on CFR Călători trains for any route served nationwide directly from the app, enjoying multiple benefits. Thus, they can make payments from wherever and whenever they want, they have all the information on the routes of interest, the trains, and their timetable at their disposal, they can purchase tickets quickly and easily, as well as view them and present them to the conductor directly from their phone (no printing required). The whole process is intuitive, and the transactions are secure.

To purchase a train ticket, the user accesses the application menu, section “Transport – CFR Călători Train” and selects the information for his/her journey: departure station, arrival station and departure date. To complete the purchase, the user must choose one of the trains offered options, the class/type of carriage, as well as the number of passengers, the desired seats and then add the e-mail address where they will receive the tickets in digital format. In the final step, the user will confirm the total amount, make the payment directly from the app and receive the train tickets at the provided email address.

The service is available for all routes operated by CFR Călători and is addressed to all those who travel by train, including some beneficiaries of facilities or discounts: students, school children or those who hold Tren Plus cards. In order to benefit from these reduced prices, passengers must visit the CFR Călători ticket offices or agencies once a year, to be issued with an ID or a nominal physical card. The information associated with these cards/IDs is added into the application to benefit from the reduced prices.
