Carrefour expands network with supermarket in Cluj

Carrefour is opening its 29th supermarket in Romania in Cluj, in the Winmarkt commercial center. This is the retailer’s second outlet in Cluj, after the Carrefour Cluj hypermarket located in the Polus Center. The new Carrefour Market has an 800 sqm sale surface, and approximately 7,000 products in its offer.

At the end of August, Carrefour opened a 7,000 sqm hypermarket in the retail park in Drobeta Turnu Severin, the first hypermarket opening in the past year and a half. With this, the French retailer owns 23 hypermarkets locally. Since the beginning of the year Carrefour focused on expanding its supermarkets network, which presently includes around 30 units.
