Starting January 1, Florian Aldea (in picture) will be the new general manager of Carpatcement Holding part of German HeidelbergCement. He is taking over from Mihai Rohan who decided to retire from this position but will continue as president of the company’s board of directors for the next two years.
Rohan is one of the most experienced managers in the construction materials industry, having 42 years of professional experience in the field. He has been with the company for the past ten years. Rohan will also continue to serve as president of the Romanian Association of Cement and other Mineral Construction Materials Manufacturers (CIROM).
Aldea has previously worked as general manger of Carpat Beton, one of the group’s companies, for almost four years. He has 21 years of professional experience in the field having served as coordinator of strategic development projects of Carpatcement and chief of the maintenance division of the company’s division in Fieni.
Aldea is a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute in Bucharest and holds an MBA from ASEBUSS Bucharest and the Kennesaw University in Atlanta and PhD in chemical engineering.
