Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) brings to Bucharest’s University Square, the second edition of the financial exhibition “Your Money Expo” on May 27th and 28th, 2016. The event is organized together with the Central Depository, brokerage companies, investment funds, pension funds, life insurance and listed companies.

The heart of Bucharest will become yet again, for two days, the go-to place for obtaining information about saving and investing, money management, capital markets and a wide range of financial services available to those who want to invest in their future.

The event will begin with an official opening of the trading session with special guests. During the two days, educational seminars “Fluent in Finance” and special seminars on money management will be held. There will also be interviews with the expo participants and top personalities from the financial area. The event will be broadcast live via media partners, on BVB’s website and its Facebook page.

“One of the cornerstones of the Bucharest Stock Exchange activity is education, and ‘Your Money Expo’ is one of the top projects undertaken in the past years by the Bucharest Stock Exchange. From students, employees of large corporations based in Romania that we reached through the ‘Fluent in Finance’ seminars, to individuals who participated in the Forum for Individual Investors, Investor Day and other special events organized in Bucharest and around the country – we are creating opportunities for those willing to take the first steps towards investments,” said Lucian Anghel, chairman of Bucharest Stock Exchange.

The Central Depository will be this year one of the main partners of “Your Money Expo”, working on the arrangements in order to allow fair visitors to find out instantly and free of charge if they are shareholders in any company, by issuing a confirmation. Also, holders of financial instruments that are not customers of a brokerage firm and wish to collect money/dividend bank account, can register for free and IBAN code, according to a statement from the bank, in original.

More than 8.5 million Romanians appear in the records of Section I of the Central Depository, that have shares in listed companies (or delisted), but have not transferred them to any brokerage firm for trading. Out of them, about four million have bank accounts, so they can receive dividends directly into their bank, if the IBAN account is recorded.

“We welcome the initiative of Bucharest Stock Exchange to continue ‘Your Money Expo’ and we are honored to be the main partners of this important event in the financial education for the general public. This year, we plan to offer market participants a range of free services, with the aim of bringing them closer to the market and to promote the services of our institution,” said Marius Moldovan, chairman of the Central Depository.

Confirmed partners so far are: BCR, BT Asset Management, Central Depository, Estinvest, Intercapital Invest, OTP Asset Management, Prime Transaction and Tradeville.

Information about the participants and the main event details are now available on the recently re-launched website www.baniitaiexpo.ro that aims to keep the visitors updated about the planned activities for the two days. The website will be continuously updated with more information regarding the expositors, the agenda of the exhibition, the final format and all the activities in which visitors can participate.

Bucharest Stock Exchange runs markets for shares, bonds and other instruments, through regulated platforms and alternative systems, and provides a wide range of services to participants of financial markets. Bucharest Stock Exchange is a public company, listed on its own market since 2010.
