American company Bechtel International and two consortiums have submitted letters of intent at EnergoNuclear – which handles the construction of nuclear units 3 and 4 at Cernavoda, project estimated at EUR 3.2 billion, excluding VAT – the Economy Ministry said.
The first consortium is composed of SNC Lavalin Nuclear (Canada), Ansaldo Nuclear (Italy) and Elcomex IEA (Romania) and the second is led by Atomtechnoprom and includes four other companies from the Russian Federation.
The procurement of the contract ‘engineering, procurement and construction’ conducted by EnergoNuclear started on 16 September 2010 and is scheduled to be held during this year until the first half of 2012.
