Average net salary falls by 0.7 percent in February, to RON 1,414

Romania’s average net salary in February amounted to RON 1,414 (approximately EUR 342), 0.7 percent less against the previous month, according to the National Institute of Statistics. Y-O-Y the average net salary went up by 0.2 percent.

The average gross salary was RON 1,944 in February, one percent less compared to January, statistic data shows.

The highest average net salaries were registered by employees from the tobacco industry (RON3,790) while the lowest levels (RON855) were reported by hotel and restaurant employees.
