Auchan buys Tricodava platform in Bucharest

French hypermarket chain Auchan has bought half the land of the former Tricodava industrial platform in Bucharest from Spanish investor Pryconsa, in a “multimillion transaction”, according to Popovici Nitu & Asociatii, the law firm  that advised the retailer.

The 5-lawyer team was led by Bogdan C. Stoica, M&A/Corporate partner, and Irina Ivanciu, Senior Associate with Popovici Nitu & Asociatii. The tax advice on the transaction has been conducted by Mihaela Pohaci, tax partner with Popovici Nitu & Asociatii Tax SRL.

Over the last years, Popovici Nitu & Asociatii advised Auchan in relation to various acquisitions which included the acquisition of Craiova Electroputere Platform, for the development of Electroputere Shopping Center, the acquisition of Polus Constanta and Coresi Brasov Projects, as well as in relation to their hypermarket projects within the European Retail Parks in Bucharest, Targu Mures and Suceava.

The other half of the of the former Tricodava industrial platform belongs to real estate player GranVia.
