Startup Neobility, founded and led by Clever Taxi co-founder Mihai Rotaru, has secured an investment of EUR 600,000 from investment fund Early Game Ventures (EGV), according to startupcafe.ro. Also involved in the funding round was Simple Capital, led by Andrei Pitis, the first angel investor in Clever Taxi.

Neobility develops technologies that support the new wave of urban mobility solutions globally, with the aim of radically improving capacity and speed of movement for city residents.

“Most initiatives in the field of urban mobility solve personal needs: bicycles, scooters and electric scooters are last mile solutions for each of us individually. But what Neobility does is rethink and solve public transportation needs. This approach has the effect of freeing up traffic, increasing energy efficiency and air quality, ultimately increasing comfort and shortening transit times for a large number of people,” said Cristian Munteanu, Managing Partner of EGV.

“Our ambitions have been global from day one, and the stakes are huge. Neobility’s long-term vision is to become a platform for cities to adopt in order to optimize their public transport – which also implies a perfectly functional integration with other personal transport solutions. The problem of urban mobility has a direct impact on people’s health, as well as on the economic and real estate development of cities. An improvement in this area can have a snowball effect for the whole society. We were looking for passionate people who want to join us in this mission and expect them to write to us on our website,” said Mihai Rotaru, the founder and CEO of Neobility.
