The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened the trading week down, with the BET index losing 2.92 percent at the opening at 10:30 am, reaching 7,029.49 points. The total value of exchanges made in the first half hour since the opening of the trading session exceeded RON 16 million.
The market started to go up afterwards and one hour later BET was down by 1.08 percent, at 7,162.19 points.
The BET-Plus index, showing the trend of the 37 most liquid shares on the BVB, recorded a 2.85 percent depreciation at the opening, while the SIF BET-FI index was down 1.43 percent. BET-NG, the index of the 10 energy and utilities companies, was down 3.26 percent.
BET-Plus recovered to a minus of 1.13 percent before noon and BET-NG to minus 1.18 percent, but BET-FI went further down to 2.48 percent.
Banca Transilvania, the most traded stock, was down 2.1 percent before noon, BRD – Groupe Societe Generale down by 2.55 percent and Transelectrica was down by 2.1 percent.
