Retail expansion in recent years has been driven by both online and in-store purchases, but inflation created a complicated economic and social environment, especially this year. In this delicate context, retailers are now trying to offer as many financing options as possible, in-store also. To help more customers benefit from the efficient financing tool Buy Now Pay Later, usually used in online shopping, in an offline environment, tbi bank has partnered with Flanco, one of the largest retailers in Romania.

The partnership between tbi and Flanco, which started in 2018, now evolves further by extending the BNPL solution to offline shopping as well. The customers now have the option of buying in 4 interest-free installments, also in offline Flanco stores, in addition to the online store.

“Even though physical retail has faced challenges in recent years, we firmly believe in the enduring value of the in-store shopping experience. Now more than ever, consumers crave flexibility, transparency, and convenient payment options. That’s why we are delighted to announce the expansion of our partnership with Flanco, through which we always work together to provide customers a superior, quick, and seamless in-store shopping experience”, said Ionut Sabadac, VP Merchant Solutions, tbi bank.

Flanco is the most dynamic electro-IT retailer in Romania, present with over 150 stores in 112 cities, with an experience of almost 30 years. Since its founding and until today more than 5 million families have bought from Flanco.

“Our team knew from the very beginning that we wanted to bring the newest and most modern technologies as close as possible to Romanian families. From electronics to home appliances and IT products, to telecom and lifestyle products, we have built our product range around our mission to make people’s lives easier and more beautiful. Partnering with tbi since 2018 helps us offer people another effective financing tool with which they can purchase the products they want without feeling the burden of heavy prices”, said Ovidiu Nicusan, Marketing Director, Flanco.
