The economic context of the last two years has been supportive of constructive partnerships between tbi bank and major players, which have brought significant benefits to both retailers and consumers in a volatile economic context. In the last two years, almost 1000 retailers on the Gomag platform have chosen the tbi bank payment solution, more than 30,000 orders have been registered through the Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) instrument, and the value of the shopping basket has increased by up to 60%, according to data centralized by the two partners.

The enrolment process for retailers is easy, access to the tbi application is done from the GPayments section and is offered free of charge to all online shops on the Gomag platform. In July, tbi bank updated the payment method, an update that allows retailers to customize financial offers according to industry, shopping cart value, and product categories.

“We have always tried, through our partnerships, to bring more value to the market for companies and people. The agreement with Gomag is a very good example of this, having a major influence in the growth of Romanian retail, with beneficial effects for all parties involved”, said Ionut Sabadac, VP Merchant Solutions, tbi bank.

tbi bank, one of the most dynamic banks in the South-Eastern Europe region, announced in 2021 a partnership with the Gomag eCommerce platform to provide an all-in-one digitalization solution for offline and online retailers. After 2 years, many online stores, from almost all sectors, adopted the BNPL solution.

“Affiliation with a strong partner such as tbi bank has helped us to offer our partners more efficient and easily accessible financing solutions for a wide range of consumers. This agreement is part of our strategy to broaden our customer base and to support Romanian retail in its evolution”, said Cosmin Daraban, CEO, Gomag.
