Alpha Bank Romania completed the transfer of Orange Money’s local retail operations

Alpha Bank announces the completion of the transfer of Orange Money Romania operations (customer portfolio, digital assets (mobile app), credit card portfolio and employees) starting January 12 2024, the date on which the retail operations were taken over.

Customers of Orange Money Romania will continue to benefit from the existing products and services, without changes to the benefits and contractual conditions, and will also gain access to the entire banking service offer of Alpha Bank Romania.

By integrating the retail activities of Orange Money, Alpha Bank Romania is significantly expanding both its own customer base and the offer of digital solutions, thus becoming an important player in Romania’s digital banking sector.

With the completion of the transaction, the specialists of Alpha Bank joined the employees of Orange Money Romania, thus establishing a solid team of professionals able to offer customers complete banking solutions with a top-tier digital experience.
