Domeniile Alexandrion Rhein Winery 1892, part of the Alexandrion Group, member of the Nawaf Salameh Family Office, has opened its doors to wine enthusiasts from Romania and abroad. The occasion was marked by the launch of the DAR 1892 wine range during an event organized at the winery in Gura Vadului (Prahova County), Dealu Mare region.

 

With over 130 years of history and experience, the winery has undergone two rebranding process since 2018. The name Domeniile Alexandrion Rhein 1892 highlights its connection to the Alexandrion Group, providing a distinct identity and clear positioning in the wine industry, underscoring a strong commitment to quality and respect for tradition.

Dr. Nawaf Salameh, Founding Chairman of the Nawaf Salameh Family Office, stated: “In 2018, when we ventured into the wine segment, our goal was to uphold the tradition, quality, and reputation of the wineries we acquired from the Halewood family, while enhancing the success of our wines through innovation and premiumization. The medals won by our wines at prestigious international competitions validate our swift success. Now, after the natural transition process following the acquisition, it is time to celebrate the identity of Domeniile Alexandrion Rhein 1892. We are proud to offer DAR 1892, a super-premium wine that embodies the essence of our winery, to those who appreciate our products.”

Each glass of DAR 1892 wine is designed to captivate the mind and senses with its harmonious blend of vibrant colors and rich aromas, inviting consumers on a unique sensory journey.

The DAR 1892 collection features three varieties—white, rosé, and red—that authentically capture the winery’s character, the essence of the vineyards, and the craftsmanship of winemaking.

 

DAR 1892 White

This remarkable white wine is a coupage of four grape varieties: Chardonnay, Viognier, Tămâioasă Românească and Sauvignon Blanc. Each sip reveals subtle notes of vanilla, citrus freshness, and rich aromas of ripe peaches and fresh pineapple. The maturation in new French oak barrels adds complexity and refinement, resulting in a balanced and captivating white wine.

DAR 1892 Rosé

For those who appreciate the elegance of a rosé wine, this expression harmoniously blends Shiraz, Fetească Neagră and a drop of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine offers a refined experience with fresh berry aromas and subtle notes of spring flowers. It is a perfect wine for moments of relaxation or special occasions, bringing a touch of freshness and sophistication.

 

DAR 1892 Red

The red wine combines the following varieties: Fetească Neagră, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz and a drop of Cabernet Sauvignon. Matured in new French oak barrels, this sophisticated blend reveals complex aromas of ripe cherry and dark chocolate, complemented by a fine balance of silky tannins. This is a deep and elegant red wine that perfectly complements fine dining or can be sipped in moments of contemplation.
