The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) says that three Romanians have been injured in the explosion that was recorded on a motorway in the northern Italian city of Bologna.
Initially, the MAE said that one Romanian truck driver sustained minor injuries in the blast and was briefly hospitalized. Now, two more Romanians have been identified among the injured.
According to authorities, one person died and 145 were injured after the accident between a tanker and a lorry.
The accident happened on the Casalecchio junction that connects the A1 to the A14.
Many of the injured were hit by debris and broken glass from the explosion, Italian media reported, according to the BBC.
