To care for the employees means to care for their wellness and health, but also to make sure they are trained to communicate efficiently and to contribute to their colleagues growth. Banca Transilvania, a company with over 10,000 people is making sure that there is a performance driven culture among the employees in order to have what they call ”human banking”. Business Review asked Nevenca Doca, HR Senior Executive Director at Banca Transilvania, to tell us more about the company as a Top Employer.

How does your company stand out as an employer to watch in 2024 and on the long run?

We are extremely happy and grateful that Banca Transilvania is The Most Attractive Employer in the Finance Sector according to 2024 Randstad Employer Brand Report. Permanent care for all the employees’ health and wellness, constructive organization culture and managers who are trained to communicate efficiently, to contribute to the growth of their colleagues and to care for them are among the distinctive criteria Banca Transilvania is appreciated for as an employer. We treasure our caring and performance driven culture and we will continue to invest in developing these features which we internally call human banking.

How does your company manage to maintain its status of a remarkable employer for the new generations of employees but also for your existing employees?

The need to be appreciated, listened to and cared for is a universal and trans-generational need. If these needs are addressed well and consistently they will create trust, commitment and engagement from employees of all generations. We made it part of our strategy to do that years ago and we never stopped. This strategy helped Banca Transilvania navigate through rough times and thrive despite certain obstacles. We are also continuously investing in upgrading the skills and competences of our colleagues. Our re-skilling and up-skilling programs are strongly appreciated internally and admired and recognized externally, for many years already. One such program received the Gen Z Award granted to Banca Transilvania at the HR Club Annual Award Gala in 2020. Continuously investing in technology to enhance our colleagues’ performance and improve their employee experience is another highly appreciated and awarded initiative. The most recent award was received last month at the HR Annual Award Gala: Catalyzing Business through Technology in HR – People of BT Start app.

Our extensive students internship programs are also famous and appreciated by the new generations.

Building trust, investing in our people and caring for them are among the strong pillars we are building Banca Transilvania’s reputation of remarkable employer.
