General tendencies on the job market

Andrei Frunza, CEO BestJobs, elaborate their views on general tendencies discovered on the job market: “We, at BestJobs, are privileged to be in the middle of activities, on one side, we are in touch will almost all the companies, and on the other side, we are connected with candidates’ expectations, which help us see and gain a broader perspective on how things work and change during these tough times. The first thought is that the tendencies we face today are out there for many years, but now they are amplified because the transformation is not optional anymore. Also, remote work is the new reality and, thanks to the access we have to the statistics, we discovered a very interesting thing, such as an enormous number of searches done for remote jobs, which is a signal that this is the new bar and the new level of expectations from the candidates. Another aspect is that the jobs which offer the flexibility of working remote or hybrid, have a bigger number of applicants. Therefore, we expect more than 25% of the open positions to change their way of working into remote or hybrid.”


What is the data showing about employees’ expectations and needs?

Andrei Frunza continues his speech regarding the process they go through as a recruiting platform, but also about the data they get about employees expectations and companies offers: ”Globally, but also locally, we’ve observed that there’s a huge number of candidates who search for jobs more suited for their needs, concerning the financial package or flexibility. The data show an increased interest for candidates both, active or inactive, who search for better professional options. Obviously, this becomes a challenge for companies when it comes to keeping their talents, but our role as a platform is to identify and refine the companies’ expectations and the candidates’ profiles in order to connect them, our objective being to reduce the time and space through employment. We, at BestJobs, are a product of recruiting, so our mission is to compress the time to hire and our focus is to understand each candidate’s talent and availability to change the workplace so that we match them with the ideal company.”
