To celebrate the occasion of St Patrick’s Day, landmarks around the world will be green this March 17: the Sydney Opera House, The Empire State Building, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Burj al Arab in Dubai, and also Bucharest’s Casa Poporului (the People’s Palace).
In Bucharest, the green light projected on Casa Poporului will be visible from March 15, starting 19.00 to March 17.
For five days, St Patrick’s will be celebrated with several events, as follows:
Saturday, March 16
19.00 – Irish Music & Dance Gala – Centre for Cultural Projects ArCub
Sunday, March 17
15.30: The biggest float parade in Continental Europe – George Enescu Square
17.00: Outdoor Concert at Lipscani, Old Town – Córas, Vyvienne Long, Aoife Dermody, U2 Zen Garden, Antonia, VUNK, The Dada, Mojo Band and DJ Kormak Blackbeers
Monday, March 18
19:00 – Classical Music Concert – Vyvienne Long and Adagio String Quartet – at the Anglican Church
Tuesday, March 19
19.00 – Gala concert with Irish soprano Patricia Brady and tenor Florin Ormenisan , Military Orchestra at the Cercul Militar
