Total Post turnover triples to EUR 8 mln in 2012 on higher deliveries

The turnover of Total Post, one of the largest players in the addressed mail market, tripled last year to over RON 35 million (EUR 7.8 million), sustained by significant growth in mail deliveries that rose four fold to 43 million.

The client portfolio also moved up by 60 percent to over 200 companies that are active in the telecom, financial services and utilities sectors.

Dan Rosu, development director of Total Post, said: “2012 was a difficult year given the market conditions as the total volume of mail deliveries in Romania was similar to 2011, approximately 450 million letters.”

“This year we expect the same growth as the monopoly of the Romanian Post on low value mail has expired starting January 1. We expect this year to reach an operational profit margin of 8-10 percent.” He added the company invested in network extension and product development.

Total Post was founded in 2009 and manages 1,000 employees and 600 collaborators. It holds a market share of 9 to 10 percent.
