TBI Bank forecasts profit for Romanian branch in 2015

Two years after entering the local market, the Romanian branch of the TBI BANK EAD Sofia continued its growth, with assets exceeding RON 400 million (EUR 90 million), 26 percent more compared to the end of the first year of activity.

As a result of continued investment in the network and IT system, the branch records losses worth RON 1.9 million (EUR 430.000) in 2014.

According to a press release, the representatives of Romanian branch of TBI BANK EAD Sofia expect 2015 to be the first year of profit.

The branch has 86 employees and serves 12,700 customers.

Regarding the bank’s loan portfolio, the largest part is represented by SMEs. Since 2015, the bank will launch products also for individuals.

TBI BANK EAD Sofia is owned by TBIF Financial Services NV financial group, present in Romania for over 13 years in financial- leasing services, consumer loans and credit cards, through TBI Leasing IFN SA and TBI Credit IFN SA.
