Sport Depot opens first Romanian store in Bucharest

Sports retailer Sport Depot, part of German company Sport 2000 International, will open its first Romanian store on the grounds of one of the Global City Business Park office buildings in northern Bucharest, according to Mediafax newswire.

The company already operates an online store in Romania selling over 30,000 products under 100 sports brands.

Sport 2000 International has over 3,500 stores in 25 countries and a turnover of more than EUR 5.1 billion.

In addition to Sport Depot, Global City Business Park has also signed a lease contract with pharma company Quintiles. The two tenenats will lease a combined surface of about 1,100 sqm.

Located in the Pipera neighborhood in Northern Bucharest, the Global City Business Park office project is owned by Global Finance. It has a total leasable surface of 56,000 sqm.
