Beijing, Moscow, Sao Paolo, Alexandria, Athens, Munich–Nuremberg and Kiev will be new cities to accommodate a Romanian Cultural Institute, according to Mediafax. The new openings aim to “increase the prestige of Romanian culture abroad.”
The ICR has already started negotiations to open these new subsidiaries abroad, after the announcement of the launching of four new nationwide offices, in Iasi, Cluj-Napoca, Timişoara and Craiova. The Romanian Cultural Institute already promotes national artists in Paris, New York, Brussels, Vienna, Prague, Lisbon, Warsaw, Tel Aviv, Madrid, Chisinau, Stockholm and Budapest.
