Sanex implements EUR 1.4 mln project co-funded by the Norwegian Gov’t

Ceramic tiles producer Sanex runs as of March 2015 a project worth almost EUR 1.4 million, co-funded by the Norwegian Government.

Thus, Sanex, part of the Lasselsberger group, the leading ceramic tiles producer in Romania, is undergoing the project “Greener production and management processes in the ceramic tiles industry in Romania – Green industry – Romania”, co-financed through the 2009-2014 Norwegian Financial Mechanism, within the financing area of Green Innovation in the Industry in Romania, in accordance with the contract closed with Innovation Norway as operator of the program.

The total value of the project is EUR 1,392,452, of which the irredeemable financial assistance amounts to EUR 690,000.

“Greener production and management processes in the ceramic tiles industry in Romania – Green industry – Romania” is implemented within the production unit of Sanex SA in Cluj-Napoca, for a period of 12 months. It is run in partnership with International Development Norway – a Norwegian organization with over 10 years experience in international projects for developing good practices in eco-business.

The project aims to streamline the production flow by acquiring an atomizer for improving the company’s ecological performance and for increasing the production competitiveness. “The impact of the project targets the energy consumption reduction and therefore a more responsible use of the available resources,” said Peter Molnar, Sanex SA general director.

The project also aims to increase the awareness on environmental and quality issues within the company.
