Last week Moscow hosted the International Chemistry Olympiad (May 11-17) where Romanian students won five gold medals, one silver and one bronze.
“It’s the best result in the history of Romania’s participation in the competition, making Romania come first in the teams ranking. Romania surpassed the host country, Russia, which won only three gold medals out of a possible 10,” reads a statement of the Romanian Ministry of Education.
Romania’s team came in first with is seven medals, followed by Russia (three gold medals).
