Following a partnership with Viacom International Media Networks, RCS&RDS introduces on its satellite television platform the Paramount TV channel starting this month.
Paramount channel comes with a selection of films from the Paramount catalog, which is owned by mother-company VIMN, Viacom Inc., but also European productions and films made by other US studios, including NBC Universal. Apart from films, the channel comes with some behind-the-scenes images and interviews with actors and directors.
Says Bartosz Witak, general manager VIMN for Israel and Central and Eastern Europe: “Over the past two years. we made considerable progress on the Romanian market. By expanding the Paramount footprint in the country, we are going to the next level as far as our local presence is concerned. All these show how important the Romanian market is for us.”
Telecom operator RCS&RDS posted last year a 4 percent growth in revenues to a total of EUR 476 million, according to data from the Romanian Trade Registry, quoted by Ziarul Financiar.
