Profi rents 2,500 sqm in VGP Park Timisoara

Local retail Profi has rented 2,500 sqm for a new warehouse in a temperature controlled facility in the VGP logistics park in Timisoara, western Romania, according to Mediafax newswire.

The new warehouse will support the retailer’s expansion strategy in western Romania according to real estate firm DTZ Echinox, cited by Mediafax. Profi owns 244 supermarkets in Romania but plans o expand to 400 outlets over the next years.

VGP Park offers 17,000 sqm of class A warehouse space and will add another 17,000 sqm this year. It is located on a 18 ha plot of land near the Traian Vuia airport in Timisoara. Following the deal with Profi, VGP Park has reached 100 percent occupancy.

VGP is an important developer of logistic and semi-industrial parks in the Czech Republic. Over the past years it has expanded its presence in the CEE region.
