PayPoint processed 41 percent more transactions in the first half of the financial year

In the first half of the financial year 2013-2014, ended at September 30, 2013, PayPoint reported a 41 hike in the number of transactions carried out in Romania, which reached 16.5 million, as a result of adding new suppliers in its portfolio and diversifying methods of payment for certain services.

After signing new partnerships with RCS&RDS, bills issued by all large suppliers in Romania can be paid via PayPoint.

The company’s services are available in nearly 8,000 partner stores from across the country. During this time, the PayPoint network increased with 428 points of payment during the analyzed interval.

PayPoint officially launched its utility cash payment service in Romania under its own brand in 2008. The company currently has signed partnerships with 62 important clients in telecom, utilities and financial services sector.

PayPoint plc reported a volume of 351.9 million transactions processed at the level of the entire group, up by 7.2 million transactions compared to the previous year. The total value of transactions reached GBP 6.9 billion, up by GBP 270.8 million.

Net revenues at group level amounted to GBP 54.1 million, up by 9.7 percent year-on-year.
