Orange Romania’s revenues maintained at the same level in the first quarter of this year, as the company posted EUR 220 million, which “totally corresponds with the company’s expectations,” according to the press release.
“The last quarter emphasizes a comeback trend of the total revenues, with a decline of only 1.1 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year,” says the company.
At March 31, 2012, Orange had 10,087,025 clients while the average revenue per user (ARPU) amounted to EUR 82. Of these, 3.19 million were mobile internet clients.
The start of this year showed a growth in the market of tablets and smartphones. Thus, the number of tablets sold in Q1, 2012 tripled compared to Q1, 2011. The volumes of smartphone sales also hiked by 44 percent in Q1, 2012.
