Orange launches first HD call in the world between Romania and the Moldova Republic

Customers of Orange Romania and the Moldova Republic can make HD calls between the two countries, after the company managed to interconnect the mobile networks with different infrastructure in the two countries.

In the Moldova Republic,the HD Voice service started in September 2009.

In Romania, Orange launched HD calls in May 2011, and their number has reached 20 million. Thus, in the third quarter of this year, 10 times more HD Voice calls were made compared to the same period of the previous year.
