How many participants are expected at Urbatlon?

Urbatlon is a new type of competition that happens on the Romanian market, regarding the format. In terms of participants, we are talking about athletes who want to participate at something more than a sports competition – a creative mix of 5 km of joy, both outside and inside the National Arena. We limited the number of participants at 1.500 for this first edition and we have already surpassed the number with the online submissions.

Which is the most difficult test from the seven tasks prepared for the participants?

All seven tasks were conceived by the event’s sponsors in order to test the physical form as well as the mobility of the participants. Each task has its specifics and the challenge consists of the physical training that every participant has.  All the seven tasks have in common the running. The urban cooler consists of the ability of wall climbing and then cross corridors. Then, garage adrenaline means a series of cross-fit exercises, while height show expects its participants to use their arm power. Traffic jam will have vault obstacles, in the labyrinth challenge participants will have to transport a package and arena assault represents stairs climbing. The last task, move & be happy, consists of crossing through a network of elastic cords.

There is no competition, so no need to rush in order to be the first at la finish line. Also, the participants are highly encouraged to have team spirit and to help other participants if they find one of the tasks difficult to complete.

How long does it take to make the arrangement for the National Arena?

The space will be arranged in three days, including registration points, food court, medical assistance points, wardrobe and the photo-lab section.

Who can subscribe to this event? Are there any age limit?

Anyone who wants to do sports can participate at Urbatlon, if he/she has at least 18 years old. For participants, several training sessions were available, as well as tips and exercises proposes for competing to this event.
