Mercedes-Benz Romania names new CEO

German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has appointed Boris Billich as the helm of its Romanian operations, replacing Michael Grewe, the current CEO and president, who will move to Mercedes-Benz Thailand after spending close to seven years in Romania. The change becomes effective in June.

Billich was named in 1994 market manager for Vehicle and Light Commercial Vehicles segment in Central and Eastern Europe. Up to 2004, he handled the business development of the Light Commercial Vehicles division of Mercedes-Benz in Romania.

Billich has accumulated extensive sales experience in Germany, The United Arab Emirates and the Czech Republic. He is currently stationed in Russian, where he is CEO of Mercedes-Benz Truck Vostok.
